Question by J M: So…..is it possible that I am still pregnant? or have ovarian cysts?
I think that I may either be pregnant or have ovarian cysts because I have all these pregnancy-like symptoms. (period that showed up 2 weeks late that was shorter than normal, fatique, lightheadedness, metal taste in mouth, sensations in my abdomen (I think they are either round ligament pains if I am pregnant or they could be ovarian cysts if I am not pregnant.)
I’ve had a negative pee test, negative blood test, but for some reason when I had other things checked just in case, they told me that one of my liver enzymes, alkaline phosphatase, is slightly elevated and the medical center who ordered the blood tests for me are now asking if they can test me for mono…which is completely ludicrous! Because the only symptoms that I have for mono is lightheadedness, fatigue, and weightloss (I lost 15 lbs, but quickly gained back 5lbs). No fever, no sore throat, no headaches, no loss of appetite (I am a BIG eater!), no rash, etc…)
I’m going to get tested for mono elsewhere, but I’m going to get a second opinion as well because when I asked the first medical center about the possibility of ovarian cysts, they completely disregarded everything that I brought up to them,
Have any of you had negative pregnancy (both blood and urine) tests and then found out later you were really pregnant?
Just so you know…my periods have always been regular….and the most I’ve ever been late was 1 or 2 days. I was 15 days late.
Holly, you’re right…I’m probably gay.
Thanks for the info, Lize.
Twisted ninjette: rashes are always listed as a symptom for mono. But I don’t have any rashes…but I guess it is still possible to have it. Rashes or no Rash.
My boyfriend doesn’t have mono…and neither do my roommates….or anybody else I know. Last time I knew of anybody who has mono was in high school. Which was about 8 years ago.

You don’t get rashes with mono….And I’ve had ovarian cysts, and doesn’t sound like that either.
